Los estudiantes en contra de Chavez!!!

Apres quelques jours au venezuela et a Caracas, voici quelques images et videos de ce que j' ai pu vivre le jeudi 1 novembre en compagnie de plusieurs de centaines de milliers d etudiants defilant dans les rues de la capitale pour manifester contre le projet de reforme de la constitution qui devrait etre adopte apres referendum national debut decembre. Scandant a tout va des "Quien somos? Somos estudiantes, Que Queremos? Libertad!!!", la liste des charges contre ce projet de reforme est longue... en voici quelques unes ; la possibilite de se presenter indefiniment a la tete de la presidence, clause autorisant un « état d’exception » qui supprimerait le droit d’informer, fin de l’autonomie de la Banque centrale, fin de l´autonomie des universites etc... En gros, cette reforme permettrait a Chavez d´avoir une base constitutionelle au regime autocratique qu´il a mis en place ces dernieres annees... Encore une fois, nous devons reconnaitre la grande habilete du commandant chavez qui fera passer sa reforme aupres du peuple en y joignant des clauses populistes telles que la réduction de la journée de travail à six heures et l'octroi de la sécurité sociale aux chauffeurs de taxi non enregistrés ... Et pendant qu´il s´illustre au niveau international par son role joue pour la liberation des otages en Colombie, cette "reforme" catastrophique pour le pays est en train de passer...

LOS ESTUDIANTES EN CONTRA DE CHAVEZ !!!! (The students against Chavez)

After a few days in Venezuela and Caracas, here are some pictures and videos of the events of this Thursday November 1^st which  I  lived with hundreds of  thousands of  students marching in the streets of the capital to demonstrate against the constitutional reform proposal, which should be adopted following a national referendum at the beginning of December, and  protesting loudly and forcefully “Quien somos ? Somos estudiantes, Que queremos ? Libertad” !!! (Who are we ? we are students, What do we want ? Freedom); the criticisms against this project are numerous… here are a few ; the possibility to run for presidential re-election indefinitely, a clause allowing a “state of emergency” which would abolish the right to inform, put an end to the independence of the central bank, to the autonomy of the universities, etc…. In short, this reform would enable Chavez to get a constitutional basis for the authoritarian regime he has established these last few years… Once more, we must acknowledge Commandant Chavez’ great cunning which will enable him to carry out his reform with the support of  the lower classes by adding populist clauses such as reducing the workday to 6 hours, granting social security to unregistered taxi drivers… And while he’s winning fame on the international scene with his role in the liberation of the hostages in Colombia, this “reform” which is disastrous for the country is going through …
